Magic Cabin has a quilting kit that makes a potholder and glasses case for people, but even more fun--a throw pillow and quilt for dolls! Although I got this kit last year for my birthday, I finally got around to making the projects! --and can post a review.
It's a reasonable price ($11.99--it used to retail for $19.95, even though their site says $14.95) since it comes with everything you need, even the thread. Best of all, it slowly teaches girls the art of quilting, by introducing one or more skills per project. They want you to do it all by hand, but you can also use a machine (I did only one project by hand). While it's intended to teach kids quilting, I'm one of the many adults who had no idea how to do so, and think other adults would benefit from learning these old skills, too.
Although the fabrics vary, the quilting fabrics they sent me were from a 1930s line, making the pillow and quilt suitable for Kit, Molly, and AGTs.
It reminded me of the crafting kits AG used to have for the historical dolls. I really recommend it!
